Jewellery Care
Simple care practices to help your jewellery stay as beautiful as the day you first wore it.
Every piece from House of Zewarat is made to be worn often, not saved for occasions. To keep it looking its best for years, treat it with a little care. A few small habits go a long way toward preserving its finish and detailing.
Store your jewellery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Keep each piece in its own pouch or lined box rather than loose in a drawer. This prevents scratching, tangling, and unnecessary contact with other pieces, especially those with delicate stones or fine detailing.
Perfume, lotion, hairspray, and other beauty products can affect the finish over time. Put your jewellery on last, after your routine is complete, so these products have already settled into your skin.
Water is not kind to jewellery. Remove your pieces before showering, swimming, exercising, or doing household chores. Sweat, chlorine, and cleaning products all speed up wear, so a few seconds to take something off can add years to how it looks.
Wipe each piece with a soft, dry cloth after wearing it. This simple habit removes natural oils and dust before they build up. For a deeper clean, use lukewarm water with a mild soap, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Avoid soaking pieces or scrubbing at stones and settings.
Pieces with pearls, kundan, polki, or fine detailing need extra care. Keep them away from strong cleaning solutions and excess moisture, and store them separately so they aren't scratched by anything else in your collection.
If you wear a piece often, an occasional check helps. Clasps and settings can loosen with regular use, so it's worth looking over your favourite pieces from time to time to make sure everything is secure.
At House of Zewarat, we believe jewellery should be worn, not stored away. With a little attention, every piece can stay part of your everyday, for a long time to come.
